84 gslse fuel cut out problem
i have a 84 se with rb header and silencer bones intake . im haing a problem . the car came to me with a bad fuel pump , it didnt pump with the jumper wire in place and the key on. i replaced the pump with a oem replacement made by Master pumps i also replaced the filter and fuel presure reg from mazda. i have a new boch o2 sensor decent plugs and wires and decent compresion. i also replaced all intake manifold gaskets and all vacume lines everything torqed to spec .tps is set properly. the car will start after a few trys then stays at 750 to 800 rpm. it sometimes trys to rev down and die . any time i try to give any gas it goes lean on my af ratio meter and will die if i dont let off the gas. if i do let of the gas fast enough the car recovers to an idle of 750 to 900. if any one has any info all is needed . this is my second first gen only first fi gslse . this project has been in the works for a long time .i need to drive this baby!!!!!!!

Ok, I have 2 questions:
1st How you put a fuel pressure tester to verify fuel pressure at idle and with load?
2nd, when you changed the fuel pump, did you notice a filter that was up inside the 3/8" supply line. I notice it when I was changing pumps, as was trying to plug the 3/8" line. I was able to pull it out. I would guess it was a factory pre-filter prior to go thru the pump. Mine was hella dirty, cleaned it out and put it back in there.
When I looked it on the parts sheet they do not show the inside cone shaped filter, not to sure why not.
