Unhappy '84 GSL-SE For Sale

Well guys, the time has come, unfortunately. I don't really have the time this car deserves, and I'm jumping ship back again to Triumphs. I found a really sweet deal on a GT6 and I can't go without a manual transmission any longer. So, I'm putting my SE up for sale. Okay, let's start with the bad. Rust. Wheelwells do need work, no bones about it. Typical lack of metal in the storage bin area. Other than that, and a small spot on the panel between the headlights, it's solid. It does run, but since the last time I had it running (about 4 weeks ago), it decided to flood, and flood royally. I haven't gotten it to start since. Really, that's all that is wrong with the car, rust and getting it started. I put all new, not rebuilt, hydraulics in the clutch system and new, heavier battery cables on, less than 3 months ago. When I last had the car on the road (2 years ago), it ran surprisingly well. The previous owner had pull the 6-port actuators off (I have them) and had a Midas shop replace the pipes under the car and the muffler. So, it's got the two precats, but not the main. Works, but no way to open the 6-ports. Tranny shifted smoothly, no grinds or funny noises. No noise from rearend. Brakes still have a good bit of life left, but the rotors have some rust on them, which will be buffed off once the car is driven. Stock wheels have peeling clearcoat, tires should be replaced. I can take any picture you ask for and post them. I'm asking $600 for the car, but would be willing to negotiate a bit. Also, the wheels on the car I'm selling. They are Enkei RS-E's, 16x7. Tires need replaced on them. Straight, no curbrash, and look sweet on the car. Also, includes special lugnuts needed. Asking $400 for them. New, they're $1000 with tires from Discount Tire. Also, I've got a set of grey leather TII seats in the car. The driver side has the typical bolster wear, and would need to be sewn back shut, or covered with a seat cover. I'd like to get $50 for them. I'm in southern PA, 100 miles east of Pittsburgh, 100 miles west of Harrisburg and about 50 miles north of the PA/MD border. We've got a trailer, so delivery arrangements might be able to be worked out. Again, I can take any pictures you wish, and upload them. Any questions? Feel free to ask...

you should move this to the for sale section first of all, and second of all...
I'd be interested in buying it if you could trailer it to me in Cleveland. Best option would be trailer it to me in Michigan, but that's a bit far.

Can you PM me some pictures or send some links or what not and all that jazz?

Man those cars are cool. I love how those hoods open, fenders and all. I drove a 69 GT6+ once, what a joy! He only wanted $1800 for it, 0 rust, newly rebuilt engine, "frame off" sandblasted, it just needed brakes and paint and it would have been very nice.. Man I should have bought it even if I didn't do anything to it for 20yrs, would have been a good retirement project My dad has a TR8 and we used to have a TR7, fun cars but not like the earlier triumphs fun.

Hope you have fun with your GT6!
