84 Gsl

Hi, I'm new to the board.

I'm buying an 84 GSL 1.3L for $75, and the rear end was blown out by doing donuts, i'm wondering what it's going to cost to get this fixed?

There is some cosmetic stuff inside that needs to be fixed and what not, but that's little stuff and it will run with it like it is.

But without the rear end being fixed it's un-driveable

Well, if you have a salvage yard near you, you could possibly get one for around $150..

Ok im confused, you say 84 GSL but you use the term 1.3L , Im assuming you mean a 13b EGI GSL-SE. If its a GSL that might not be hard to find, but if its a -SE expect to have a hard time finding a replacement not to mention -SE parts are well sought after and are expensive usually

Then he means its very likely a 12A, or 1.1 (or 1.2) liter engine (depending on which way you feel like reading it today) Also known as 70 cubic inches.. the 1.3L is usually reserved for the 13B engine, or 80 cubic inches.

Mike is right, the GSL-SE has the bigger engine and is more sought after for the larger performace potential.
