Question 84 Gauge cluster?

Can a 84 GS Gauge cluster fit into a 82 GSL? Im curious cause I have a 82 that I drive and a 84 for parts. I found nice gauges for my car... but they are for the 84-85 RX7... so I was wondering if I could just swap the cluster (I think thats what its called... not exactly sure... the thingy where the tach, speedometer, oil, blah blah blah). Thanks for your feedback... and if anyone is interested the gauges are silver during the day... and they lite up blue and red. They run for about $60 I believe and they have them for 2nd gens as well.

Yes, it is called a cluster. Unfortunately, you can't simply swap the clusters because they are different shapes. You'd have to swap the whole dash. There is a "how-to" on removing the dash if you're interested.
