Will a gas tank from an 84' GSL bolt into the same space of an 81" GS?

If not does anybody know of a place (besides junkyards) to get a good one for under $950

Also how bad do you think year old gas will be if I put it in my beater, in small doses?

Old gas makes great weed killer, illegal, but it works. Not good for cars. Btw, I have yet to pay 950 for and entire 1st gen, let alone any single part.

Not sure on the tank. I know the S3s are differnt from the S2s on the fuel lines, not sure about the entire tank dimensions.

too bad about the gas, it's a waste. I do want my other car to die though might stick it in just see.

 

hey, all you have to do is, make sure your fuel feed and return lines are hooked up the same way as your tank comes out. look and mark your lines theres only 3 on top of tank. feed, return, air im almost possitive. its been alittle while but ive done this over n over on those first gens.tank should be the same..ive owned 19 of all models on the first gens,and 8 2nd gens,so i know my ****.dont have anymore 1st gens but i do still have good parts left if iterested...just no tanks.clutch, tail lights, leather bra that says rx7 in front,back gass hatch red sunroof in great shape,altenator.ect.....
