Question: It appears the 84-85 seats are different. On other 84-85 models, what style seats are used?

Thanks for the inquiry. I started using this upholstery company for another project and noticed they offer seat covers for the RX-7 application. They indicated that these were older patterns that were found in storage, but they were not familiar with any of the designs later than '83 for the high back application. They are certainly willing to develop one if the 84-85 is not compatible, but they will need to see a sample in order to determine the compatibility.

I am really pleased with the quality of the material and workmanship that comes from this small local shop. (I wish that more people would order these covers just so word would get out in order to support their efforts!) If you have one of these covers that you would care to ship to us for review, I will be glad to work with you on this project.

SO at this time, it looks like they could use an original 84. My preference would be the low back as found in the GSL-SE.

I picked up a pair of seats from an FC which I could use temporarily and then I could send Jim the cover, but I would rather keep the original seats in.

SO I don't know where I am going with this...maybe someone has a GSL-SE cover already that Jim could use...

Comments? Advice?
