Ok, chasing a problem with my 83 LE's trailing ignition...heres the situation. At idle, I am not getting any fire on the trailing ignition...so started investigating. I have swapped the trailing igniter and put in a new coil. Still nothing. If I swap the coil to distributor high tension wires around the car will run on the trailing ignition, but not the leading ignition then...I only get fire on the leading coil, no matter what I do. Trailing coil never fires. Car seems to run fine, but i can only get one ignition to fire at the time????? help....thanks!

 

Followup: Got both coils firing, previous owner had switched stuff around and I had to set it all back stock to see exactly what was wrong.....leading igniter was bad, swapped it out and now both ignitions are firing....so all appears ok...now if i can just get my tach to work from startup...guess I am gonna have to pull the dash and clean it...
