'83 tachometer

When the weather is cool and damp, my tach always sticks until the interior has warmed up. I've tested it and it's definately not an electrical problem. I think I need to lubricate the needle. Any ideas on how to do this and what to use?

Remove the cluster and take it all apart and look for something mechanical to oil. Ive never seen this problem, but its gonna have to be taken out and taken apart to fix anyways

Actually, I've heard that this is quite common on the older tachometers. Try a little oil.

I just learned to shift by the sound of my exhaust. My '83 GSL does the exact same thing.

Mine sticks too...or at least it's done it a couple of times and I don't expect it to get better over time. Whenever I get around to redoing my interior I'll see about fixing it...
