i have an 83 gs with an 85 gs rear end and i was thinking about swapping over to an 83 gsl rear end i found at a junk yard. i did a search and found pretty much everything i needed to know except i didn't find out if every gsl comes with a lsd or not. i don't want to go through all the work of swapping rear ends again for just disc brakes. plus i was wondering who has a good brake rebuild kit. also i was curious how long do most gsl rear ends last, the one i'm looking at has 176,000. thanks for the help.

 

the rear end on 1st gens are very strong! and should last a good while. All gsl models that i know of came with Lsd.
