83 Gsl
Hey guys, I work in Eagle ID accross the street from Musick & Sons auction and happened to notice an FB in the parking lot. I just thought it was somebody's who was there. Well it hadn't moved all day so I went over to check it out. Sure enough it has no tags so it's going to be going up in the auction. It was an 83 GSL with black interior that looked fantastic. It's an auto so it would be easier for the old lady to drive LOL. Odo has 146K on it but the motor has only about 10K on a rebuilt 12A from what the owner told me. Body looked in really good shape although the drivers door trim was off(in hatch) and it appeared as though the driver's door and rear quarter were fixed and repainted at one point as the paint did not match. From what I saw there was only one little patch of surface rust but I didn't get to check under the bins. Exhaust seemed in soso shape but the cats looked realtively new. I has some carb problems because it sat for 2-3 years. I offered him $600 for it and to skip the auction but he decided to keep it in anyway. Anyone who goes to that auction probably wouldn't pay more than $200 for it if that so I'll try and snake it up for cheap
She's identical to my S except the lights aren't smoked. Wish me luck guys!

I was actually hoping the motor was blown so I could pick the chassis up for like $100 LOL. But I guess I might spend a little bit more for a good motor. If I get it, it will be cleaned up and restored to showroom condition which shouldn't be too much work. It's Sunbeam Silver but I would repaint it Tornado Silver Metallic, Swap a FMOC over the beehive, and do a 5 speed swap

Thanks. The exhaust will probably be swapped for a stock one in much better condition. Clean the lenses up and maybe replace some here and there things. I'm defintely looking forward to checking it out further Friday before work and if all is well after that I'll be heading to the auction on Saturday. Hopefully no one wants a 24 year old car that sat for 2-3 years LOL
