The ignition switch on my 85 SE is fried, just the electrical half. A local salvage yard mentionned that only the 84 and 85 will work.
I am wondering if this is true or not because I can get a 83 swich locally.

BTW, if anyone has a spare they are willing to part with, I need what is pictured below from an 84-85.

YOu can get an 85 switch into an 81-83, I have done it. The colors dont line up so you gotta mix and match a little. It would be way easier just to stick with an 84-85 switch tho.
