Question 82 GSL price??

We are building a Spec RX7 road racer and found an 82 GSL today. The body is straight and has no rust. The odo says 230k miles and he thinks the engine may have been rebuilt some time back. It started right up without any smoke but it did have an idle problem. It had a new carb on it and he said its not adjusted properly. We took it out for a quick drive and it seemed ok except the engine died every time we stopped.

1. What would be a good price for it? He wants 895 but said he is "very" open to bids. He has also been sitting on it for a while. (we were thinking $5-600)

2. Should we be concerned about the idle problem?

3. Anyone out there 6' 6" tall and manage to fit in with a rollcage? It looks like it would be possible if we used a low prof race seat and pushed it back all the way.

I'm 6'-3" and barely fit in a cageless car, but you might be able to fit, if you mod it like you say.

5-600 seems fair. Odds are the carb needs a good rebuild and someone might have messed with the idle a/f screw.
