82-85 Strut Assemblies

I need to switch my suspension over from my 82 gsl into my 85 gs and was wondering if I could transfer my entire strut assemblies to do this

Yes it will bolt right in, but remember 82 still uses the smaller diameter wheel bearings. keep that in mind when you replace them.

That means you switch everything, including the hub and rotor.

the 84-85 spindles are larger and use bigger bearings, most of the brake upgrade kits that allow you to use s4-5 brakes use the 84-85 bigger bearing spindles

so if you ever have to replace the rotor/hub, seals or bearings you have to remember they are for an 82 not 85

So do you guys think I should just remove the springs and shocks from the strut assemblies and swap them out instead switching the entire assemblies
