82/83 Radiator..quick question

on 82 and 83 rx7 radiators, is there a radiator cap on the radiator or ....? What Im really asking is, is this a sealed radiator, where you have an in and out for water hoses and thats it.

Another guy with a rotary bug has no pictures of his radiator setup, Ive looked on ebay to see if I can get some good pictures, but figured I would post ANOTHER ? regarding this. I figure, if my engine and radiator are from the same year, then I should have no trouble with cooling.

My newer Vw radiator leaks out of the top cap and doesnt hold pressure.

The 1st gen normally has a presure cap on the radiator for filling and ETC, the 2ed gens radiator is a 'sealed' unit with an in-line filler neck/presure cap setup.

Well, I have done some searching and I seen some pictures of some radiators, none which look sealed. I searched the 2nd gens, and a guy tonight at a pool hall I go to said Fieros have sealed radiators, and I looked at some pictures and it looks like it has a radiator cap provision. Any got a few cars they can think of that have sealed radiators in them? Im about to weld a radiator cap hole CLOSED...lol..if mine werent plastic on the sides, I would weld it close as well. Anyone got an idea how to close off a radiator cap hole that is made of a hard plastic? The core is aluminum. Thanks

Maybe put something in the hole to fill the gap and then possibly use JB weld or other simialar type of thing.
