81 GSL emission removal

81 GSL emission removal

I was wondering if it was possible to remove all emission controls and soleniods including air pump, and still be able to run the car. Also will this affect the carb. If anyone has ever successfully done this tell me how.

i just took the rats nest off of my 83 gs, I was also scared that idle, and drivability would suffer, but actually, the idle improved, and the high end seems a little smoother, I say go for it, starting is slightly more difficult, but bearable.
