81 Gsl

Hi, new to the board.

I bought an 81 GSL Saturday for a project and noticed it has a limited slip with rear disks. I thought this wasn't available until 84.

Was this a factory option in 81? Or, I guess it got swapped sometime over the past 27 years?

All GSL models had LSD and rear disc brakes. GSLs were first available in '81.

welcome, as stated above, 1981 was the first year for the GSL and the only grade up until 1984 that offered rear disc brakes and a limited slip differential. in 1984, in addition to the GSL, the GSL-SE came standard with rear disc brakes and a limited slip diff. if you get a chance, post some pics of your car!!!
