79 RX7 Electrics

I got a 1979 RX7, and I've got a problem.
It Looks like a weak battarty but it isn't. Interior lights when on are dim, I barly manage to get headlights on and when they are on they are good, but when I try to make the engine turnover it just goes click and dies. I was thinking a ground fault or something, but the battary is cool and still full of juice.

PS: Im Broke.

Thanx for any help.
Marek

Could be a bad connection somewhere. The most likely spot is on the battery cables. Just pull them off and lightly sand the edges of the battery poles and the cable holes. If that doesn't do it, go along all the main wires (the biggun's) and look for any corrosion (white ****) or a loose connection.

How do you know your battery is good, just outta curiousity?

Ive already sanded the terminals.

And I know its good for 3 reasons, Hooked up a volt, amp meters to it. Charged it last night, And just bought it 3 monthes ago.

I hooked a resistor to it and it showed no substantial loss in voltage.
And the lights work..... Sometimes.
It is probably a broken wire. But just wondering before I start unpluging every connection.

Thanx For any help

Well, if the starter is clicking but not actually turning the engine then it's going to be the main cable that goes to the starter. That's all it could be as far as I'm concerned since the starter only has 2 wires coming in: one from ignition, one from the battery. Start poking around with your volt-meter (or even just a test-light) and see what you come up with.

I have had a few starters go bad and they suck all the juice out of the car. and wont start even if you try to jump it and it acks like it fully charged
10-1 thats what it is
