Are 79 Limiteds as rare as my friend thinks?

Well, I'm sure you've all seen my post at https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/first-7-where-start-440287/ but my friend was looking online and found this:

In the first production year of the RX-7, Mazda released the "1979 Limited". This is characterized by an black paintjob ('79 Limiteds only came in black), Leather steering wheel, Leather Shiftknob, and all available options. Only 3,000 were produced worldwide and less than one third of those are known to be in good condition.
That leads me to believe I have quite a rare commodity. I mean, I know she's awesome and *I'm* in love, but I didn't know quite what I had. Or is he wrong.

If it is as rare as that says it could be, I wouldn't think of ever selling her.

Hope the rest of the resto goes well.

Yea they are hard to find.

3K were made.

they had special wheels and The digital clock in the dash.

One went on Ebay a few weeks ago for 3800.

This one was a one owner, Until I got it. She bought it brand new and had to win a raffle to get it.
