The 7 versus Integra = Looooooooser.

Was bored this afternoon so took the 7 for a drive up to the " ricers" area. I came up beside this dude in a riced out Integra just after a stoplight. He sees me pass and hits it to get along me and do the old rev 'er up. He hits it so I figure...why not. We were in pretty congested stretch of traffic so I get up on his *** and he starts weaving in and out of cars. He apparantly did not understand how well the 7 cuts in and out. After a few blocks of hanging in his *** I finally get a chance to get it. The car in front of him turned so we had an open lane. I see his car lunge at the same time I dropped to second and hammered down. Blasted past him and got in front. By the time I hit 4th he was a good 200 yards behind me and not gaining one bit. I wonder how much money he poured into that Integra to get his *** handed to him by my 84? lol. Had to share it with ya all.

I would guess early 90's. I do not know much about the Integras and he had all the emblems removed. It was the model that was very similiar to some of the Hondas in that generation. Only visible diffs from the Hondas are the front and rear lights. Make sense ?

This was the first time I went up against one so i can't give much for comparison. I know he had a hell of a time taking a slow corner switching lanes and the 7 was coming through it smooth. Maybe I got lucky and he was not a good driver.

very easy to solve the gen integra...did it have pop-up headlights? 1st gen
Fixed headlights that run the length of the front? 2nd gen
4 small round headlights? 3rd gen
I say headlights cuz you were out in front of it
and from your cars specs..you'd hand my SE it's **** too..lol

Thank you...thank you. I was all disappointed for a while there thinking my 7 wasn't all that quick by just beating a 1st gen Integra. Now am reved right back up knowing it was a 3rd gen. Funny thing, this club is like a family, couldn't wait to get home and tell everyone in the club about the kill.

My 2nd gen Integra GSR would easily dust my 82 when it had a 12a. The Integra will probably still run an autocross faster than my 82 with it's 200 hp 13b even though the Integra's no longer as fast in a straight line. It doesn't really matter, the Rx-7 is alot more fun to drive.

A few years back before I put the Intake and carb on I got killed by a neon with a chip and header. My nikki did not have the secondaries opening. In that same period I raced my buddy with a 91 prelude that had the H2 in it. No mods except the big can in the prelude and I beat him by 1 1/2 car lengths. Another buddy of mine bought that car and rebuilt everything and I kkep trying to get him to race and he won't. He said his pockets are not deep enough to spend the money so he could beat the 7. And he works at the Honda dealer in town.

Haha!, nice, Their is a Civic hatch here in town with the 3rd gen integra V-tech swap. I usually flatten him whenever we race. Most 4 cylinders dont have a chance against a 7 once it is fairly modified.

Very nice, usually the guys in their Civics think they are untouchable unless you have sunk a lot of money into something or you have a stock V8. Is the Vtec swap just stock or modified ?

Oh it is pretty heavily modified. In my opinion it should be a lot faster, but he only sees high thirteens at the strip. I can pull low thirteens on my all seasons, with drag radials I can dip into the twelves.

Also, those times are achieved using an open diff, When I install my LSD my 60 foot times shoud see improvement.

92' GSR's (1.7L Vtec) straight up own. If its not a vtec though it's garbage, that extra "3rd cam" as some people call the vtec system really helps alot. I had a built 90' integra b18b1 (nonvtec) 11.5:1, port+polished head, full exhaust, venom intake and it would chirp 3rd but my friend with a mint 38k original miles 944 could hang with me.
