6-Port Sleeves
Trust me, I've done research....
Mine (on both cars, 1985 GSL-SE's) have frozen. Once I go thru the "easy" (LOL) process of opening them back up:
Is there any way to keep them lubricated/smooth/stuck-free so this doesn't happen again?
Anyone had any luck with this? My assumption is that even over time, opening them up on the road will lead to carbon buildup and a "stuck" sleeve.
Thanks!

step 1 in the unsticking process is to push on it by hand, if you can free them up there then they will work.
step 2 is to take the actuators off, i've actually had a few that the actuator rusted to the rod (!) which is weird, but the sleeve has been free. once you have the actuator off, try to rotate, if you can get it to turn then it should actually start working.
step 3 requires removing the intake, etc etc. on a gsl-se its very easy. i haven't had to take an intake off in years, but if you had a practice one, its like a 30 minute job.
to keep the system working, you need to use it. which is actually the fun part. open throttle = no carbon.

Tx!
Will remove the actuator first and see if I can "work" the sleeve loose.
I've had the UIM/LIM off previously. Off is "relatively" easy, back on is "where did this hose go?" LOL
