6-port rotor housing question

i have a 6-port 13b with the front rotor and housing trashed. i have acces to a 4-port carburated 13b. will the rotors and housings switch to my motor? i could also use a turbo 2 engine if they will work. this is just the bare motor none of the turbo stuff is there so i would be switching parts as well. can any one help me i want to get my se back on the road.

What year is the carbed 13B? If it is pre-1985, then you can use the housings in your SE engine. The T2 ones will not work becuase in 1986, Mazda moved the coolant o-ring grooves from the rotor housings to the side plates. So, if you tried to use T2 rotor housings with SE side plates, there would be no place to put the coolant o-rings.

Have you checked the side plates for the front part of your SE engine? Many times if you loose an apex seal, the rotor, rotor housing, and maybe front and intermediate plates in your case get trashed. You will probably need to inpect the damage (if you havn't already) before deciding what to do. It may be cheaper to find another engine that is in okay condition and rebuild that instead.

Good luck.
