4x110 to 4x114.3 (4.5) bolt pattern swap

I have a 1982 GS
So I have drum brakes, and one is leaking badly now.
I want to switch over to the 4x114.3 bolt pattern because of the bigger market and rear calipers.

I have the front hubs from a 85' gsl-se, and can get the rear half axles from that same car. However the donor 85' car had the e-brake and brake lines cut and completely ruined. The diff internals are also gone, and i really want an LSD.

So should I buy the rear half axles and see if they fit in my open GS diff? Or just wait for a full rear end that has an lsd and non-f**ked brake lines? Do i need to change brake booster, i read something about proportioning valve?
As i understand it i need the whole axle housing because my GS rear has a smaller inner diameter than on the gsl-se?
Is it true that any rx-7 with factory brake calipers also had a factory lsd?

The GSL-SE axles will not fit your 1982 rear end. You'll need the entire works including e brake cables. The 1982 is a small axle diff.

When you say you have the front hubs, what parts do you have? First gens don't have hubs. You will need the entire front strut/spindle assembly here also.

It is true that all first gens with disk brakes have lsd from the factory.

I wouldn't be worried about the e-brakes lines being cut. You can always buy new ones. If you can get the GSL-SE rear end and not have to ship it then you save some money.

WOW speedy reply! Thanks

Alright, so ill need the entire rear end. Would my open diff gears fit into the 85' gsl-se diff or 82' gsl diff?
I have the entire front suspension assemblies actually. But i don't think I want the kyb struts/springs. Can i pull off the rotor/caliper and fit that onto my current spindle?

I spun a GSL (not se. but with calipers) rear tires and they spun opposite directions from each other, so i said "nah thats an open diff" then i went back to the junkyard weeks later and they had mutilated the rear end for the LSD i now see.

I currently don't know where to get a complete LSD/calipers rear end. I can get housings, but no diff internals.

I paid 240$ just for 2 full front suspensions today, thats a rip off compared to this

but i won't have any internals for it, just axle shafts.

So i should keep the entire front suspension assemblies? The gsl-se parts won't fit on gs spindles?

The 1982 has a small bearing axles. The GSL-SE axles are big bearing.

Same goes for the front. The 1982 has small bearing spindles so the GSL-SE rotors will not fit.

If you want to put GSL-SE wheels (4x114) on a 1982, you either have to use 4x100 to 4x114 wheels adapters, have the 1982 rotors and axles re-drilled to 4x114, or use the entire front spindles/shock tubes assembly and the entire rear axle brake-to-brake.
