can u make a 48 dcoe downdraft to a 55 and if i can what is the process

There's no such thing as a DCOE downdraft. DCOE's are sidedraft carbys. IDA's, which are downdraft, can be machined to 51mm. Not sure about DCOE's though.

call JC enterprises in huntington beach and ask. I have sub-contracted work to them to convert a 48 ida to 51. give it a shot. if not just run it without the venturies and just play with your jets.
