4 way flashers not working

Any suggestions on why my blinkers work but not my 4 way flashers. 1985 Targa 7. My dome and map lights do not work as well. I changed the bulb in the dome light and it still doesn't work. The buttons that the door triggers are loose and need to be secured.

I have an '85 7 (model unknown) with the same problem. Interior lights(dome, ignition) and 4-ways don't work. As soon as I put in a new fuse, it blows. I chased the dome light wires and came up with nothing. Anybody out there that can help us?

if fuses blow it normally mean a power wire is being grounded out start and the relays because im willing to bet all those things are on the same relay

They are on the same relay. I didn't specify that very well. I was wondering if there was a common short on this circuit that anyone new of?

actually i have this problem too.. only difference is that my dome light, and hatch light all work.. my fuse was popping for a while, but i pulled all the light down, checked wires, removed door switches.. and well, put it all back in and it just worked... *shrugs* still no hazards, and my AC/Recircle button don't work either.. anyone else ?

Ok guys I did a short write up on this not to long ago. There is a box, black, forward of the fuse box which is called the flashers. There will be a group of wires going into it. Take this box out. There is 3 nuts holding it in. 2 are easy to get to one is not to easy. Take the box out, open it up. Take a magnifying glass and inspect the solder joints. There is a 99% chance that this is where your problem lies. Get some wicking wire and a soldering iron, wick the old solder and re- solder the joints. The guys with the fuses blowing have a short and if it is affecting the flashers then this is probably where it is at. Not a hard fix, just a pita to get the box out and back in.
