4-Port 13B
Hi, Im a bit of a rotary newbie but will soon be getting a early FB. I wanted to do a 4-port 13B but have read so many different things about how to build one, so I'm mostly wondering about rotor housings, because I've heard I need GSL-SE rotor housings, but will FC ones work as well? I know I need 13B rotors but I'm just not sure about which ones. Please clarify, thank you.
This thread I started on a similar subject has some info, in addition to a number of links to other threads.
The search feature of the forum will pull up a lot of information also.

Rotor housings (if using the 12A irons or early 13B irons I assume) will need to be GSL-SE as they have the groove machined for the water seal in them (or some shops can take later rotor housings and machine this groove for a bit of $$).
The later model 13B's have the groove in the irons.

Mazda moved the water seals for 1986, and moved them back for the Rx8 in 2003.
if you use a 12A, you need GSL-SE rotor housings, these are available new. for engine rotors you can run any 13B rotor, but the FC and newer rotors are better (lighter, 2mm seals, more roll pins for the gears etc). you need a 13B eccentric shaft, and stationary gears and a few other bits, but that is basically it. oh also a GSL-SE oil pan
plan B is basically an FC turbo engine with non turbo rotors
