Thumbs up 4-link idea, or maybe its been done

has anyone ever used hiem joints or rod ends for the rear part of the upper links to avoid the binding how well would this work? does anyone have any experience wth this on these cars?

These guys sell them. Only thing I have heard is they are VERY noisy, which is not a prob in a racing app, but for street...??

ahh so it has been done i spent some time searching but found nothing anyway i also noticed they are the lower links does it make a difference. if it does work i might do that soon ill probably just fab them up myself with some extra links i got and some rod ends that would be cheaper ill try and keep update if i do. has anyone else done this with success.

Yes, it has been down for years. They are really not that noisy on a street car.
You would only ever want to do the lower arms. The uppers can not be done using the stock pickup points.

We have them: (Ours use the stock metric bolts. Others require you to drill the chassis to use a 3/4" bolt.)

Going to be doing mine soon with the mini-tub. Mine is a mix of Chris Alston Chassis Works and QA1. Using all QA1 3/4 Rod Ends.

I had heim joints on my old car and it was the best suspension mod I ever did. only on the lower links though. you can make custom rods and put them on the uppers, but you would only increase the infinate roll point. BAD!

I have all 4 bars with hein joints on my 1st gen celica. Feels great the only noise I get is when the car is at the slow speed inbetween accel and idle and the car kinda jumps back and forth, but all I do is either let off the gas totaly or clutch it and coast. but when accererating hard or decell hard no noise at all. I like it.

Just make sure to measure your pinion angle before and after so you get it back right.
