I am completely rebuilding and considering buying a 3rd gen JDM engine for my 1st gen gsl-se. Has anybody done this in the past and what did you encounter along the way. I already have a rebuilt 4 port street ported 13b from a 3rd gen but i need all the other stuff to go aorund it so a JDM looks like a good deal rather than buy every single part one at a time. That would cost a fortune. I am going to leave the turbo's off until i decide what to do next with it.

Perfect, exactly what i was looking for. i will need to learn to weld but it's worth it. looks like i'm buying a JDM as soon as the cash is in place.
