3rd FB, it'll be the last for awhile

Well guys and gals, I have purchased yet another RX-7, its seems ive gotten addicted ever since i bought my first one about this time last year. It's a blue 1983 seven, only has 82000 + KM on the clock, the paint is in pretty good shape and looks like it has been well taken care of, other then a few things.
The good:
1- Paint except a couple spots where I think all ill hax to do is buff it and then wax it to blend it together for now anyways.
2- All glass except the windsheild ( I have a replacement one I just got today out of the other car)
3- Not very many km on it
4- The interior is in press damn good shape, other then the seat and driver side panel
5- The lights on dinger works, and im hoping that that damn rev buzzer does because the ones in the other two were either dissconnected or wreaked, so yea i wanna hear that bad boy for the first time ever.
6- Its going to be the 7 that i do right, and do it right completely through out till im done it, even if gas is $2/ liter by the time im done working on it im still going to use it as a weekend warrior.
7- it has a glass moon roof.

The bad ugly:
1- Gas tank has huge *** holes in it ( thanks to the junk yard, and yes i have a replacement for that one too)
2- Someone left driver side window open and the vinyl cracked and got shitted up on that panel
3- Apparently the engine doesn't run, and the trans is F'd up (never fear i have replacement of both sitting on the floor of the garage, just nicely removed today)
4- The drivers seat where left *** cheek would be sitting against is a rippped pretty good (ill get that fixed, so i say)
5- A couple dents, one right behind the passanger side door, and one right in front of the passanger side door, so you catn acually open that door.
6- No key, the tumbler for the ignition was ripped out and messed ( so i have to replace all the locks(which i have from the 7 i am dismantling)

All in all this is just a short list of stuff, but i want to get the jist of what condition it is in. I paid $560 +/- for it, and I think that when im done it will be looking damn good and running just the same. I have not tried starting the engine yet, but it turns over, so thats one good thing. So in the event of getting this "new" seven i have had to dismantel the 81' that i aquired last year. Becasue of the lack of room and parents going braindamage, and the neighbors going to probably call the cops one day, for more then just that reason, and it wouldnt be good news im sure, but hey they can go f themselves, only if they knew what it was like to actually work on something and get gratification out of it maybe theyd get the point about working on them, and other machines.

As of right now i have the 81' about 90% stripped of its parts, and plan on making the best judgment about what things i'll need to keep for the one i just got, and then throw away the rest and hope to hell that i never threw away something i needed when the dreaded inspection day comes.

Well before this turns into a novel or something of that sort i better caller quits here and leave it be for the night. These little 7's are the coolest cars on the road, and I hope to keep this car throughout my life, im 22, just 22 as of yesterday but I think that ill be keeping it for a longggggg *** time I dont care what the girlfriend or whoever says.

dun dun dun, so i tried getting it started tonight, and no dice, i did a compression test, by means of listening to it, and putting my finger on the leading plug holes, and finally with the compression tester ( just a regualr one but i figured why not try and see what happens) and yea, rotor one has nothing, and rotor 2 got about 25psi with a few turns. So im going to try the atf trick and hope it works. If not, I got an engine just waiting to be put in started right up.

Heres my cardomain site theres just a few pics of it but ill get some later on. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2420743

Yesterday i put some ATF in the spark pulg holes at noon, lefter sit till after supper, then turned it and it pussed out some, and with it came some black **** carbon so its working on it anyways, then i turned it and put some more in the next round, today at noon ill turn them over and put in some more in once more in the next chamber.

Also last night dad (he used to do auto body work back in the day so I can ask him for advice on holes or bad rust spots and the such and how to go about fixing it) and I took off the front passanger side fender and hammered out the dents and straigtned it up, now what i need to do it form the bottom corner in the front to match the plastic deal on the front end. As well as sand blast the rust spots and then use an abrasive wheel and work out the rust and do a bit of bondo then cover it up then that'll be one part of the car fixed.

Its going to be a long process but i have all next week to work on stuff, so maybe I will get a couple more jack stands and put the car right up and strip the underside and blast it then give it a coat of undercoating, Sounds like fun eh hahaha, it'll be my first time doing a whole vehicle rust/dent repair but for such an awsome vehicle that means so much to me it will be a great adventure and experience.

I will be updating progress and trying to get as many picures of the process as possible as i go.
And so the journey begins....... wish me luck.

Oh and yeah the dents that we are fixing, im guessing they were the ones who put a dent in it becuase theres no rust where it was dented in and it looks relativtly new, so damn the damn bastards for doing that, otherwise i would of had less body work to do.
