yeah, pretty much what everyone is saying is a good way to get 300hp. i just personally would stay N/A.....simplicity is my favorite......and any car that has a turbo usually sounds the same while its spooling up ,NO car sounds like a ported rotary, i would preffer a loud BRAAAP BRAAAP to a high pitch whistle anyday

^My fear lies within the turbo lag while cornering. Boost creep can be killer. I prefer NA as well, but for daily driver purposes, an insanely ported rotary isn't good for that whatsoever.

a bride port and carb not so good or managable, but with EFI and a a decent stand alone is actually tolerable

not only that but are you going to be hittin 9k rpm's from light to light. wether boosting or braapin any high performance engines life will be cut short........ i'd rather cruise while my engine is puring like a 2 stroke and if i want i can punch it and make it scream like no other engine can

i would still go with a 12a and turbo it , 12a's can handle the turbo and make enough power to achieve this , just get yourself a efi system standalone modify you suspesion and you should be close to the power goal you want since you have to spend less on the engine since you not buying a new one. here is a pic of my 12a engine http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...arparts047.jpg here is a pic of the manifold i just got. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...xhpics_001.jpg pic of the tb for the efi.
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...exdone_002.jpg or you could always go with one like this. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...7c92e931fd.jpg

anyhow if you build your own engine and ported it your self get a twn throttle body or this holly style that would be around 2k get yourself a microtec lt8-s thats about 800 to 900 pic up rb suspesion upgrades that will set u back about 600 or can always go with the ford rear end that would be around 1.2k to 1.5 get some nice brakes in from like aerospace those are about 480 and this would be a nice start. http://www.theracingstore.com/index....mart&Itemid=26
good luck with your project.

Want big horsepower w/out cost and head ache of turbo. Go with a large s.p. on a 4 port backed by a 150 shot of nitrous my friend. Have money waitinig b/c you'll soon neeed a rear end.-Erik
