3.3 Fuel pump pressure?

Hey guys, as you know i been having trouble with my 1981 RX-7 GSL.

I took a fuel pressure gauge and got a reading of 3.3.
It is supposed to be 3.7 to 4.7

Does that indicate a weak fuel pump, that needs replacing?

Could that cause problems when pressing the gas pedal slowly?

Well, its actually very hard to find a gauge that will actually read accurately at those levels. Lots of things could cause your issues, but I'd start with vacuum leaks.

I run 2.5lbs on my Yaw carb. I would take a look at the accelerator pump and as above look for vac leaks.
How does it idle?

It idles ok, as it did before it started having this problem.

It has always had some shaking while idling.

The fuel filter is new. I changed it after the problem began.
Also put new spark plugs.

No effect.

As mentioned several times, it looks like an ap problem. Does it start squirting AS SOON AS you start pressing the accelerator? if not, the AP needs adjusting, IMHO.
