2nd gen motor sleeve help

Ok so I was told when I get my engine to work, I should take some sleeves out. I can't remember what they are called. Does anybody know what I am talking about? Sorry I can't give any other info . I will try to think of what they are called.

5th & 6th port sleeves? you will lose low end torque if you remove these tho...what seems to be the problem?

exhaust sleeves (diffusers)? They were a 6-port motor thing too iirc.

That might be them. I remember being told I can take those out for a reason. I can't think right now I have a big headache. I will try to remember what I was supposed to take them out for.

Take a look over at www.nopistons.com in their engine rebuilding section. They have a big writeup by JudgeIto on exactly how to remove them...

From: We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
AUX ports are good for you. Im building a turbo setup and will have the functioning aux ports hopefully, and they will be controlled by a V-safc(yeah the Vtec one) and a air pump.

The exhaust diffuser can go all it is there for is to maily quite down the exhaust note. And if you plan on porting the exhuast they have to come out.
