2nd gen injectors?

Anyone know if the 2nd gen injectors are larger than first? If so, anyone know if there would be a gain by putting them in an SE? Pretty sure i remember the one set being the same size as the -se's and the 2nd set actaully being smaller.

Nope,2nd gens are smaller because there are four of them,in staged operation......

1st gen 12AT.....800cc x 2
1st gen GSLSE....680cc x 2
2nd gen N/A.....460cc x 4
2nd gen TII......550cc x 4
3rd gen TT......550cc x 2 and 800cc x 2 (pretty sure)

Plus, all injectors before 1987.5 are low impedence and all after 1987.5 are high impedence. The SE runs pretty rich from the factory, bigger injectors will just make it richer, which lowers HP output.... unless you port it or open up everything else (intake/exhaust) to get more air in/out.

Won't make any difference. Unless you changed the induction system to allow more air which means S4/S5 then run smaller injectors in primary and larger in secondary with a megasquirt to control.

Jim, do a search on the VDI, there is a very good write up on it a few years old with Dyno results. I believe slvr7 did the write up on it. he used a RPM switch that he got from Summit racing to trigger the VDI at the RPM he wanted it to.
I believe he did a S4 to a S5 Swap.

Also a local member put a ported S5 motor in his Se here and is using a megasquirt system.
But i believe he is using the S4 and not the S5 system.
