2nd Gen coil to make a direct fire ignition?

Ok I was just cruising around the net and found a page describing how to make an El Cheapo Direct Fire Ignition. This looks interesting and was wondering what ya'll think of this. The Side Fire Plugs also have me scratching my head. So.... whada ya think?

formula mazdas use MSD firing both trailing and leading coils constantly.

1 box
2 coils

seems to work great.

MSD is ok. Nothing amazing, just a little more throttle response and maybe a better idle.
