I have an 87' N/A, and I was looking at possibly going to a FB in a year or so (the FC is my first car, but I have always liked FB's more), what would the difference be if I went to an 84'/85' GSL, or a GSL-SE, lets say everythings stock.

If you went to a SE, you'd notice practically no loss in straight-line performance, as the car is slightly lighter than the FC, and has 135 hp/134 tq. The 12A powered RX-7s are about a second slower in the 0-60 than the FC, but are significantly lighter, with the base models being the lightest.

Cornering and handling are significantly less proficient on the 1st gen than the FC, but they are still fairly predictable cars, and you can typically bring the rear end out at will at low to medium speeds. At high speeds, there is a tendency towards snap oversteer, but this can be countered to some degree by a few different modifications that can be made.

All in all, both cars are a hoot to drive, with the FB/SA being more of a pure Sports Car, instead of the FC's more upscale GT approach.
