2ed gen turboII for - SE

i have a chance to get a 88 turbo II. running, smoged, right front fender has a good ding, and the rest is in good shape. first he told me he would sell it to me for $300.00 dollors. today he stops by and notices i have an -SE also. so he says i'll trade you cars straight across, what do i think.. i say. stop by later let me think about it awhile.. a 1984 GSL-SE all stock for a 1988 turboII all stock......???????

Don't do it Mark

Mark:

I wouldn't make the trade if I were you man. SE's are pretty hard
to find, at least in my neighborhood. You can always find another
Turbo if that deal doesn't work.

Yup, I'm sure your se is worth much more than $300. Just give him the money (then stick that motor in your se and part out the car and make your $300 back.....hehheh)

If you got room for both, keep the SE and buy the other one. My $.02.

Yea you could do the full T2 swap and easily make your $300 back parting out the T2.

But I wouldn't trade the SE for it. $300 for a T2 is like dirt cheap, ya sure something isn't wrong with it? Is the engine blown or something?

Best of luck on the deal,

Scott

nope, runs good. i don't know what i'd do with 3 cars.. his reason for asking $300 dollors was to me only..he knows what he's got and says he wants it to go to a good home before it gets thrashed. we grew up together but lost contact for many years untill lately. few people own a 12a rx7 and an -SE rx7 and in my opion the only thing the -SE's got going for it is the low-end torque and the brakes.. i'm saving the money because..... heres the plan... the minute he signs the car over to me i'm on the phone to design energy (mariah) and ordering the mode six wide body for the 2ed gen rx7. on the mariah web site, in the gallery, 2ed gens i'm going for the silver mode six but with different wheels i'm thinking gold mesh centers with a polished lip and deep dish for the rears.. remember my 82 rx7 has the mariah mode four already. we'll see. any more feed back,,,guys ?

man i'd still shell out the money. if you can afford that damn kit, then you can obviously just buy the car outright. i dunno why you want a tII anyways... they're pigs.

Lol,, thats funny. $750 for the T2. i'll tell you the truth, the -SE may allmost be as fast as that T2. driving them around today . i drove the T2 and he drove the -SE
the T2 would go, but not walk like day-n-night. i can totally see that i did a pretty good job bring the -SE back from the dead. and it looks good too. Lol

Buy em both. No question. SE is classic now in most states and will become quite rare soon, if they aren't already. Your car should be worth more than a TII anyway.

Zac

PS. T2s are still wicked bad and I'd kill to get one for that kinda money that ran properly, let alone was driveable!
