REVHED - Thanks for the info! I'll look in to the Microtech MTX-12 to see what it's all about. I have no problem with moving things around in the engine bay. If that means everything needs to move forward then that's what I'll do. Crazy Aussies heheheheh... yeah I'll see if I can contact them with a few questions.

MIKE-P-28 - damn, that's not exactly what I'm going for. LOL. I don't want to just run the straight line. I want to be able to turn too. Sweet car though. Plus I will be going with a wide body kit as well if I haven't already mentioned that.

Directfreak - that's a 13b not a 20b. Plus I don't think they needed to cut the fire wall, they could have moved stuff forward.

defprun - right on! LOL

riffraff - yeah I think that's the one they were looking for. As much as that is one awesome 1st gen. I don't want a straight liner.

hitman in australia put a 20b in a fb

you may already know this, but HITman in australia put a 3 rotor in, although i think he made the engine out of 13b parts. His website is:http://www.hitman.hm/rx7.htm

Yeah thanks for the picks. Although, that FB is a dragster. I however am going with the ability to turn and drive in the streets.

The reason that particular 20B is set back so much is purely because it is a drag car...the set back pulls weight off the nose and helps plant the tires by bringing that weight closer to the center of the car where the four-link bars are supposed to "point" their load...it would still help in a street car, but it's not as crucial...

Powerglides are incredibly short. Thats another reason why they had so much room to play with in setting the engine back. Good thing a 20B isn't like a SBC with the dizzy in the back

That 20b stuff makes me feel funny...

I dunno if I'd be able to handle it.

Good luck on your project! I hope it turns out hella fast yo!

It's nice and all that a first gen RX-7 can race and all on the drag strip but it's just not for me. I'm not trying set some record, I'm just trying to have some fun.

mar3 - very good point. I was going to mention this but forgot about it.

Felix Wankel - No kidding. That would cause me to have a great headache. :P

Wattz - Yeah as I mentioned I've considered the 13b turbo setup but everyone has one. Will the 20b produce power...your damn right it will. Will I be able to handle it? I hope so. First things first...safety! Safety Safety Safety. I don't know how many time I can say it. I've seen too many cars with mods to produce more power and no mods for safety. What good is a car if it can stop from crashing into a wall?

Damn skippy! It's getting closer and closer. I should be posting pictures soon here. I've already taken quite a few, of the engine bay getting cleared.

Engine Stand : $25
