Race class awards, not the top step, but there is always next year. I was happy to win Time Trial, but the race class is always more gratifying.

Here is some fresh video from nationals. I forgot to hit record on my fastest lap of the weekend 2:03.5, but this was my second fastest lap at a 2:04.0. The car may not seem as fast as usual because of the altitude at Utah.

Enjoy!
I will get the race up next week.

Excellent Video - That Civic was annoying up front. What happened to him after you passed him? Did he leave the track?

Also, how did you make the vents?

The civic backed off after the first lap, then after cooling down one lap he tried another hot lap. He actually ended up taking second in my class, just beating a corvette by a .1th. He was within .5-6th's from my quickest time.

Here is the web broadcast of our race. I'm registered under "Team Howard Racing".
Our class started with around 16-19 in ST2, I had a soft brake pedal Sunday due to my brake master cylinder going out. I started 3rd but dropped back to 7-8th for the first half since I was unsure of my brakes- (had to pump the pedal before the brake zones to build pressure). Fortunately this helped conserve my tires and car for the end, I came through the pack to finish 2nd place. This is a 40 min broadcast. I will have my on board coverage up soon.

My hat's off to you sir, superb job. Love the car and the mods you've done to the bodywork. I'm even more convinced now that I should go with the ISC front end instead of rebuilding the fg on my widebody after stuffing it in a snowbank this past winter..

I'm running 15X9" w/225/50/15 tires and wheels with 4.5" backspace in the front. Will they fit the ISC front kit?

Again, congrats and keep up the good work.

Thanks.

Your wheels should work fine. I run a 16x11 with 5.5" of backspacing, I have to run a 1/4" spacer in the front or the rim will just barely hit my strut. Your 4.5" backspace should be a perfect fit.

Thanks, I would like to go to Nationals at Mid Ohio next year. Hopefully funds will allow it. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to get even faster!

I've always liked your car and its nice to hear the car and driver run as good ... how long have you been racing for out of curiosity?

I did some local autocross between 94-96.

I started running with NASA in Arizona while I was going to College, around 96-97 was my first years running track days at PIR and Firebird.

I started running with NASA in SOCAL around 2006, received Time Trial license with NASA in 2007, and competition license in 2008.

Thanks for everyones support here. Next year should be good.

kudos

Great to see it, love your rotary representation and LOVE your car. If I had your car I think I'd be sleeping in the garage and not in the bedroom...

Congratulations. That was an awesome video. Do they allow spectators at these events?
