dowelled is when more dowl pins are put in by machining more holes through certain tension bolt holes that yield increased resistance to block flexing and sliding of the rotor housing to side housing from encountered during high boost. I have cracked a rear endplate near the stock dowl and it was not fun to deal with.

RE and REW, I think the RE is a Cosmo engine and the REW is RX-7.
