We had a "Midnight Madness/Import War" event here in Tucson at the local drag strip (Southwest International Raceway). I couldnt get my FC through tech, because I was late. There was a 3rd gen and a 1st gen. The 1st gen was silver. I dont know who it was, I tried to find him/her in the pits. Whoever it was, they were doing a fine job of driving, and showing the Hondas what the rotary was all about. I am hoping its a forum member, but I am guessing its not...

hey thats a good buddy of mine. he drives an 85 GS with a dellorto setup, his name on this forum is 13k redline. there were actually two silver first gens out there, both setup the same way, only one had an RB exhaust setup, im not sure if hes on this forum. but they are both good freinds.

One is the gs (13kredline) the other was an -se (italianfedrotory). I know this because the -se belongs to my brother, he hit a 15.4 that night and called me at 2:00am to tell me.

Cool! It was fun to watch them race, too bad they never lined up together...I wish I could have ran that evening, but I had to work late, and didnt get to the strip till about 1 AM. If you talk to them, tell them it was fun to watch them race, and if they ever want to get together and talk about rotaries, to PM me.

sure ill tell them, hey we usually try to cruise out to the illegals together, and i think it woulb be bad *** if we could get a whole bunch of rexs to convoy out there, whadda say? so far all we got is two first gens (3 if the se is out) and 2 second gens. tell me what you think.

 

I might be able to make it this weekend, I just ran into a guy in a TII, he has another friend with a modded 'vert. I ran into them yesterday, and said that we should all try to get the 7s together here in tucson. They might be down too.

Unfortunately my FC is going to have to go back to Exhaust Works today, the split air tube they welded to the aftermarket Cat fell off last night.....

They guy I ran into had a White TII, and his friend had a red 'vert. So I dont know if we are talking about the same people or not...

Friday? Lets hope so. My FC goes into the shop friday morning for repairs to the exhaust system. Hopefully It will be done. Should we all meet up on Speedway?
