1st gen project

Hey guys I was thinking about building some custom enclosures for my 83gs to mount in the storage compartments. I think I'm going to go with a vented design around 45 hz. Each one will hold a single 8 inch sub. I've built a couple of vented enclosures for a single 8 that did amazing numbers but the enclosures were much bigger than I can fit in the storage compartment.

When I get them done I'll post some pics and numbers. They should mount in with little to no effort and I might have enough room under the enclosure to mount the amp so its not in the way. Would any of you guys be interested in something like this? For those of you who couldn't imagine an 8 possibly doing any damage,I had one i did in a daytona that metered at a 140.1 db. Not to shabby for 45 square inches.

I think Sealed would be the better way to go, I'd think the port would be hella hard to fit in such a small enclosure.
Just get a bigger amp to make up for the less efficent (but better sounding) sealed enclosure

I can get .8 cubes into a compartment. 45 hertz wouldn't be too tough to get out of that even with a decent sized port. But I may still go sealed I'm not sure yet. I guess I'll try both and see how it goes. I might even just go with one 8 so I have a storage compartment free for a few quarts of oil and some mmo.
