It is usually best to replace both the master and slave together. Replacing the soft line with one of the stainless steel braided ones is recommended also. Are you sure you have the hydraulics bleed properly?

Bleeding the clutch is similiar to the brakes, pump 3 times, hold, open and close the bleeder valve, repeat. With new parts, you want to bleed until the fluid is clear to help removed the old contaminated fluid.

If you are finding a idle issue or a stutter at constant throttle do a search on "Shutter Valve"

What trochoid said is spot on as always, and when you think you have the clutch bled, drive it for 5 minutes then bleed it again, it will still have air in it.

Welcome to the dark side.....

Be sure to replace that !@#$ soft hose! Damn thing can leak without leaving stains, somehow, as I discovered twice. You can get OEM or stainless from mazdatrix and both work.

I had a clutch problem similar to that with the 85GSL, and what I discovered is that I could start the car in gear with the clutch depressed and the handbrake on, then drive away. I did that a couple times and the problem disappeared. Only thing I could figure was that the clutch plate bound a little on the spline, possibly from rust spots, and then worked it away. It's been AOK for 2 years since then.
