1st broke thing on Cosmo POS :)

Me and my friend David were rolling down the bypass. I was seeing what the car would do, straight line of sight, no cops etc... Man the car was pulling hard as hell, and then BAM It was loud sounded like a M80 blew up in the hatch... Car started vibrating really badly...

I dropped the rear u joint.. I told them damn guys this car was a little over 300 hp.. Guess they didnt listen LOL

So everybody start laughing now, I was like god damn I bet I just dropped a tire... Well it wasnt a tire, and then I look down the car is still idleing no problem.. So I was cool, it aint the motor Then I put it in gear and take off, its not the trans thank god, so Im thinking rear end, or driveshaft. Well I got it home just now and it was the driveshaft, loose as hell at the rear

I aint shitting ya this car pulls hard as hell, makes me happy

Its the rear u joint, I shook the driveshaft... Oh man and what made things worse. We were sitting on the side of the road about 2 minutes, and then a stae cop pulled up, with his lights on. I was like I know he seen me, I know he seen me, is what I kept saying LOL We'll he was like everything ok, and I said well we were just driving and suddendly the car started shaking badly at 60 mph. LOL Yeah right, I was going a SHITLOAD faster than that LOL

he was like you need me to clal anyone, I said Ill just put my hazards on and limp it home, man at 10-15 mph, it shakes so bad its not even funny. But I drove it home, about a mile or so..

Wonder if this is under warranty? LOL

Oh I definately see why the rear broke.. Look at the front how much bigger it is ... The weakest link in the chain was the rear...

after something like that, I would say get a driveshaft loop. I once saw an elky drop it's drive shaft after lanching hard and it nearly flipped the car.
With that much power, spend the extra $30 for a lakewood loop.. I would hate to hear about a rex flipping.

Was thinking the same thing, after this happened. Ill have Derrick Bivens make me one, it will be a hell of a lot less than ordering one...

A steel strap that goes around the drive shaft and attached to the car. In the event of a front u-joint failing it will catch the drive shaft and prevent the car from "pole-vaulting".

I'm starting to get paranoid now.

I might have to get a loop, when it comes time for a bigger tailshaft. That won't be until the gearbox goes in though.

I think it's definately a good idea.

How much weight do you think it adds?

At the track where I go every once in a while, a driveshaft loop is required for 13.99 and quicker cars.

I flunked a few of them

The tint one would suck. I got limo tint LOL

For a driveshaft loop one could probally do , a piece of thick flat steel strips make a loop and weld it to a straight one, bolt it onto the frame, maybe even where the stock exhast middle hanger bolted to
