1986 Brake Caliper for 1985 Rear end

Hi Guys:

I'm using a 1985 GSL-SE LSD for my 1959 Austin Bugeye project (sorry for taking a sought after differential out of the gene pool).

Space contraints have made it very dififcult to get the e-brake hooked up. The 1986 -up rear calipers look as if they would physically bolt up (from pictures anyhow) and the ebrake lever goes toward the middle of the car which would work good for me.

Can any one tell me if a 1986 Brake Caliper will bolt onto a 1985 GSL-SE differential?

Thanks for your help, you guys have been the Bomb on my RX7 questions.

Rod

I haven't compared the 2 calipers, but ReSpeed is working on or has produced a bracket to mount the 2nd gen calipers on the 1st gen rearends. Billy might be the best one to answer this question for you.

I know they don't "just bolt up", but like trochoid said, look for someone on the forum named "bwaits" and message him about it. It might just be worth it to find another work around if you're looking for something quicker or easier.
