1985 RX& Battery cables

My 1985 RX7 GS has battery cables that appear to be identical (except that one has an additional cable connecting to the terminal connection to the battery. Does anyone know which one is the positive and which is the negative??

Without actually going out and looking at my 7, I'm pretty sure that the negative cable goes first to the left fender (ground), then from there it goes to another ground above/near the starter. The positive goes directly to the stud on the back of the starter. Hope this helps.

Also the additional cable is on the positive wire and connects to your fusibile links(underhood fuses). The above post is excellent advice to check as well.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside. In my sig are links to getting you started with the basics, i.e., the FAQ sticky thread, along with a link to the online FSM, carb manual and other rotary related reading. As far as cables, the previous posters have it covered nicely.
