DAMN !!!!
You have the color that I like on these cars... Mine is perfect in every way and has only 83k miles. the interior is perfect... I only drive it every now and then... It is mainly sitting in my garage. and is 100% stock... the only thing that i want to do with it is get the full RB exhaust and later on go with a body kit and a spoiler... If i do that then i will probably have to get other wheels... but that is in the future... Im not so much into the performance mods (turbos and such) for now...

In any case enjoy your new ride and remember thsat there are not many like ours so try not to destroy it....

You have a beautiful RX-7 there. I was actually searching for a silver with red cloth interior or a silver with gray interior and this one popped up for sale on cars.com.

I notice that you are in South Florida? I was planning on heading down to Port Saint Lucie, Fl. in about a week and a half to visit family and the other cars I store there. Are there any RX-7 happenings in South Florida? I may drive the RX-7 as it would be a nice change of pace from the Z cars that I normally drive back and forth.

Well, there are some RX's but not many. In fact everytime I drive mine it catches peoples attention because it looks so clean. You see a lot of rotaries at the track... meaning Moroso or the 1/8 mile track in county line (Broward/Dade). Every Wed, Friday Saturday the track opens for whomever wants to race... is only 20 to run all you want and they provide you with timings.. is all legal...
Im not sure about hangouts... I never go to those cause they all end up with people racing in the streets, cops arresting people, fights etc...

Interesting how things are.. I was looking for the blue one and the silver popped up... Mine is exactly what you described. Red interior in perfect shape... I got it from Nevada from a 71 year old man who pampered the crap out of it... When I got the car I got everything.. every original paper from the dealer including the one that is on display on the window and every maintenance done to the car... He also gave me the Glass top !! I mean I got everything... even rotary magazines that featured the car back then...

Yeah, dump the aftermarket wheels. A car that nice deserves a clean showroom look.

I was not seriously going to run the RX-7 with a horrible looking offset like that. Those wheels went right back on the '78 280Z that they were borrowed from. In fact I never lowered the car onto the ground with that wheel.

I am thinking about going with a Compomotive CXN mesh wheel in a 15" size eventually. For now I'll just keep the stock wheels on the RX-7.

On another note I finally located some decent photos of my old '85 RX-7 that were taken circa 1994-1995. Once I get them scanned I will post them and who knows maybe that car is still on the road somewhere? When I sold it the car had 205k on its original engine and it still ran very strong.

Ok GOOD. im sure we all feel a lot better... such a hot car with those wheels would be a disaster...
In any case, take your time when selecting wheels... think of the llok u want for the car n then execute it. that is what im doing.. for me is a project and a hobbie... I take my time to do it cause im doing it for me... I got 2 rx-7 and one daily driver and im in no hurry to do anything...
