Where are this wires supposed to be attached to as now the clips are just sitting on the engine, am I missing a pert?

Can anyone advise where the brown wire is supposed to be attached to?

 

Someone has removed what we commonly call the rats nest. There is a diagram floating around on the fourm that shows the vacuum hose connections.

A pic and a diagram from under my hood of what those wires used to run. A system of switches that controlled vacuum lines that help with emissions. Often removed in states where emissions tests are not required. Mine is a CA car so everything is in place. For now.

 

Thanks, I am in GA so emissions are not required if over 25YO.
