1984 GSL SE Power Antenna Relay

Stock stereo system in 1984 GSL SE and power antenna not working with radio. Works when power is applied to antenna as described in FSM. Most of the troubleshooting of the relay under the dash checks out. Before I dig into wiring harness, want to rule the relay out.

Question is there supposed to be something connected to the single plug on the factory relay under the dash circles in red in the photo?

Looking at the factory wiring diagram, I only see connector J-01 which is the big connector.

Confirmed the issue in the relay, failing the third FSM test hilighted in yellow below. First two tests check out with continuity.
Opened the relay to see if anything obvious inside is wrong, but other than the little white resistor looking bubbled up, nothing appears out of order. Any ideas or recommendations on repairing the relay or just try to find a working replacement?

When you apply for power to the coil circuit does the switch actuate? If it does and you're still not functioning correctly then you can lightly sand the contacts to clean carbon buildup from them. You can just use an emery board for that.

Those tubular brown devices are diodes, and could have failed open which might cause a problem. You can test them by checking that they pass voltage in one direction but not the other.

I don't know what the light gray device is, but if it is a resistor that shape might just be packaging, not a flaw, as it doesn't appear to be burned.

If a lot of this doesn't make sense to you then maybe find a friend with some electronics experience as that relay is a very simple device and should be easily repairable with parts available on Amazon etc.

Thanks Toruki!

I understand the first part about applying power, will give that a shot once I figure out which contacts to apply the power.

I will have to phone some friends on the rest as troubleshooting circuitry is not my strong suit. Always willing to lean though.

thanks again!
