1983 RX7 needs a new fanatic!

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by doing this but... I've got a 1983 RX7 that I’d rather see it go to an RX7 fanatic rather than some high school kid that wouldn’t appreciate it! It is mechanically sound but there are a few minor dings but no rust. Car spent 90% of its life in Palm Springs so the interior is pretty much toast. Motor is a 12A with about 30k on a rebuild. I wanted to restore this car but just don’t have the time. I can be reached at mccoolb@comcast.net if anyone is interested in a good project car!

Thanks,

Brian

not breaking any forum rules. you can also try posting this in the for sale section. make sure you get some pics. you can post them on the forum as well but you will need to host them. if you cant find anyone to host the pics for you, try www.imageshack.us

^^Definitely! I'm a highschool kid and I'm as fanatical as anybody else here. I got my first RX-7 6 months ago, and I've already bought another 2 since then. Why else would I work 5 days each week and still constantly be broke

I also am a highschool kid, but my FB is a family affair my dad bought it in 83 and I just got done rebuilding it. My friends bring over there wannabe ricers talking about help me I just say to them what are these round things with rings in here for?? My girlfriend has learned to love them to I made a date out of going to buy a parts car, then asked her to but dinner since I was broke. I stop if I see one on the side of the road and have been known to knock on the door to talk to them about it. Reminds me of the FC I saw on the way to palestine. Gotta go check that out.

It's good you yungins are interested in these cars. I always wanted one as a kid but could never afford it. Later, when I could afford it, I was married and later had kids. I always thought about getting an FB but it is hard getting a wife and a baby into the thing. It still is impractical but at this point I figured what the hell.

You guys are continuing a legacy of young kids getting and restoring what will be a classic car. I did it with older Fords and Chevys (what we could afford) and these days some of these 'beaters' are worth quite a bit of cash. Who knows, ten to fifteen years from now some of these GSL-SEs and LEs will be worth quite a bit.

Keep it up. Pass it on to your kids. I am doing that with mine. As you can see from my sig he will have plenty to play with as he gets older.

and I'm restoring a 71 chevy pickup, and a 66 olds delta 88, and planning to street port my 1st gen, boy I have to many projects (my mind is fuller than my wallet) the way I put it is"You have to save all the old iron ya can"

Nova:

One of Chevy's many generic attempts to cash in on the Muscle car craze of the 60's-70's.

I'd take a stock PINTO over a stock Nova any day. At least the Pinto has some good parts that can be used, which won't break down in three months

you're an idiot.

i owned a 73 nova for 5 years, i replaced the tranny at year 4 of the 5, beyond that it was G.T.O.

All of the Muscle cars of the late sixties/early seventies looked way too similar.

Boring, that's the only word to describe that time period.

1964. . . that was a good year for Muscle.

I'll forever miss my 64 Pontiac GTO

And even a 20B wouldn't be able to power those two ton cars properly.

The GTO weighed in at around 3800 according to the title. The fact that the 'almighty' big block could only propel that to a 1/4 mile in fourteen seconds. . . . somethings wrong with the fact that an engine almost as big as a small CHILD can only make something go that fast . . . . I still loved it though.
