1981 Mazda rx7 gs
I have an all original 81 rx7 12a, problems with car choke not staying out when pulled. Also it won’t rev past 2k rpm’s and it dies. I’ve checked and replaced the choke relay and still same problem.
Whats the history on the car? We don't have much to go on here. The choke only stays out if the magnet works at the choke **** and the connection to the temp sensor on the back of the tstat housing is connected and working. The rev limit issue could be a carb thing or an ignition issue. Hard to say.

When is the last time the carb was rebuilt? Have you replaced the fuel filter? If the car had been sitting and rust debris formed in the tank, you will be chasing your tail until you go through thr entire fuel system and ensure that its clean.
