Hey...how the hell do I remove the push button switch from the front dash. It stopped working on my 1980 last year and I want to check out if the wiring cam loose or the switch itself is bad. Replacement switch vendor???

Try looking at the hatch first, that way you dont tear up your dash and replace a possibly working part and still not resolve your issue.

 

Agreed - check latch assy in rear first.
Switch easy to remove, spin off outer collar around button, pulls out from rear. These are dead-reliable switches so any spare off the many parts cars here on club list, etc should be fine...
